Job Summary:

This position provides supportive guidance and care to assist with our individual’s activities of daily living by following the Individualized Support Plans (ISP). Staff must maintain documentation in compliance with all Chapter 6400 regulations as well as Terrapin House's Policies and Procedures.  Must have a keen interest in gaining knowledge on how best to support our consumers living with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.  We strive to increase maximum independence by following the principals of "Everyday Lives" with Person Centered approaches.

PAID mandatory trainings and various other trainings are provided. Must be able to complete all mandated trainings in order to be included in ratio and work onsite with our clients.

Job Requirements:

Valid driver's license, with clean driving record, and the ability to operate company-owned van for community activities and shopping.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma.
1 year of experience in working with individuals with ID/DD.
Must possess OR be capable of obtaining FBI, and PA Criminal background.
Must reside within 30 minutes of Allentown, PA.
Ability to understand and follow (supervisory) directions, and work independently as needed.
Able to assist in daily maintenance of the home including light cleaning duties, assist in cooking, as well as other activities (hygiene, community outings, appointments, etc ).
Maintain effective and professional relationship with all staff and client.

Salary: Starting at $13.00-$15/hour depending on experience
